A meeting to share evidence, policies and practices that strengthen character education in Latin America.
The Congress, organized by Dandelion and the Varkey Foundation , will take place on April 18, 2026, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Will bring together various stakeholders in the education system—governments, schools, families, teachers, students, universities, and civil society organizations—to share evidence, best practices, and innovative policies on character education in the region.
We aspire to consolidate character education as a central theme on the Latin American public policy agenda and to strengthen the regional network of institutions and leaders working toward an education focused on human flourishing. We want education in virtues to be a shared endeavor that transcends borders and transforms realities .
Join the dialogue that unites reflection, action, and educational policy for an education geared towards human flourishing! Admission is free but registration is required.

At Dandelion, we understand that character education is a necessary and hopeful response. It's not just about developing knowledge and skills, but about forming individuals capable of living with purpose, empathy, and a sense of responsibility toward others and the world. By placing human development at the heart of educational agendas, character education offers a transformative framework for strengthening communities, renewing civic engagement, and preparing new generations to face the complexities of our time with virtue and hope.
The congress is part of the culmination of the Character Education for Government Teams program implemented by the Varkey Foundation thanks to the support of the Templeton World Charity Foundation, which throughout 2025 trained officials from five countries in the region.
