Our center seeks to promote various research and implementation initiatives for character education in the region.
We believe that character education can be taught through virtuous and courageous leadership. Schools, along with families, are key places from which to foster it.
Program
Character Education for Government Teams
How can we get the best out of each student in the region?
How can we teach perseverance, honesty, and other key virtues for the flourishing of our societies?
The program brings together government teams from Bogotá, El Salvador, Mendoza, Michoacán and Paraná, with the participation of 150 officials in virtual meetings and face-to-face training.
Its objective is to strengthen educational leadership in the region, supporting ministries in the design of character education policies geared towards human flourishing.
Throughout the year, virtual sessions and in-person visits will take place between April, May, and November. The teams' challenge will be to formulate a public policy that integrates character education.
Among the expected results are: the strengthening of management capacities, the integration of character education principles into internal work, and the effective implementation of policies in educational systems.
The ministries are part of the Araucaria Community, selected from among 17 applicants, with the support of the Templeton World Charity Foundation.
